We offer a full range of obstetrics services from preconceptional care to postpartum care. We have a team of highly-trained, experienced doctors and medical assistants that are committed to providing the best care possible during both high-risk and normal pregnancies.

During your routine pregnancy visits, we spend time with you at each appointment talking about the different stages of pregnancy. When you have questions, we can also provide you with educational materials that explain fetal development and tests - as well as other topics that may be of benefit to you.

We understand that while pregnancy is an exciting time for a woman, we also know that you might be feeling anxious and nervous as you anticipate your delivery. Please do not hesitate to talk with your doctor or medical assistant if you have any concerns.

Preparing for your delivery

There are a few things you can do right away to prepare for your delivery: verify your insurance, sign up for birthing classes, find a pediatrician, and read the resources recommended by our doctors.

Verify your insurance

Please verify with your insurance company that the hospital you choose is covered by your insurance plan. You must contact your insurance company and inform them of your expected delivery date. Find out exactly how many days your insurance company allows for vaginal delivery or cesarean section before you enter the hospital.

Find a pediatrician

It is important to select a pediatrician before delivering your baby. View our Pediatrician referral list.

Sign up for birthing classes

If this is your first pregnancy, we highly recommend taking the birthing classes at the hospital where you are delivering your baby.

Both Aurora and Wheaton Franciscan offer birthing classes as well as breastfeeding classes. You can sign up for classes on either of their websites.
